Flowers no.1  Attempting to absorb

In this work, I face the camera as I paint an orchid inside my armpit. I then lower my arm and use my hand to replicate the image on my body.

This work concerned with the desire to "swallow" an image and assimilate it into the body through actions of reproducing, blurring, and squashing. The body is experienced as both a site of action and an internal storage space.

 

Exhibited in EPOS 4, international Art Film Festival, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Israel 2013.
